This role provides a unique opportunity to design engaging, user-centered interfaces for complex software solutions that support critical mission operations. The successful candidate will apply their skills across the full UX lifecycle, including research, prototyping, testing, and iteration, to create modern, responsive, and secure interfaces for web and desktop applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and stakeholders, to deliver innovative, high-impact solutions while adhering to accessibility and security standards. This position encourages creativity, technical excellence, and professional growth, offering a hybrid or remote work setup with meaningful contributions to software used in high-stakes environments.
· Design modern, responsive, and secure user interfaces for web and desktop applications.
· Conduct user research, stakeholder interviews, and usability testing to inform design decisions.
· Create wireframes, mockups, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs using tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
· Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, and component libraries aligned with accessibility standards (e.g., Section 508, WCAG).
· Collaborate with front-end developers to implement designs and ensure visual consistency across products.
· Participate in Agile Scrum practices, including sprint planning, reviews, demos, and retrospectives.
· Mentor junior team members on UI/UX principles, human factors, and user-centered design methodologies.
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in UI/UX Design, Human Factors, Game Design & Development, or a related field.
· Minimum of 3+ years of UI/UX design experience , ideally in interactive experiences such as games, simulations, or training software.
· Proficiency in wireframing, mockups, prototyping, and UI pattern development.
· Experience conducting user research, usability testing, workflow analysis, and stakeholder interviews.
· Strong skills in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or equivalent.
· Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to diverse audiences.
· Self-driven, with the ability to work independently or collaboratively.
· Familiarity with full UX lifecycle and maintaining design systems and style guides.
· Active DoD Secret Clearance or eligibility and willingness to obtain one is required.
