Job Title: Testing Specialist
Location: Hybrid ( Baltimore, MD)
Duration :12 months

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of complex public-facing systems.

• Execute manual and integration test cases for web applications , backend processes, and interfaces.

• Prepare test documentation including test plans, test scenarios, test data, and test results.

• Translate business and functional requirements into effective, reusable test cases.

• Conduct regression, interface, and downstream testing for system and data integrity validation.

• Document and track defects using tools such as JIRA , and collaborate with developers for resolution.

• Coordinate testing efforts via test calendars, timelines, and performance benchmarks.

• Conduct peer reviews of test artifacts (test plans, cases, results).

• Support mobile testing , API testing (using ReadyAPI or similar), and performance/load testing (JMeter, Gatling, BlazeMeter).

• Perform backend database testing using SQL or PostgreSQL; write complex queries for validation.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies and cross-functional collaboration with developers, analysts, and stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates must meet all minimum qualifications to be considered:

• 4+ years of experience in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for complex systems.

• 2+ years of experience in web application testing .

• Experience using defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).

• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript .

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 4+ years as a Java/Web application tester.

• Experience testing across multiple browsers , web services, back-end processing, and performing data validation .

• Experience in mobile testing , data migration , data integrity , and data transformation testing .

• Strong SQL skills for backend testing (PostgreSQL or other enterprise RDBMS).

• Prior experience testing healthcare systems , particularly State-Based Health Insurance Marketplaces (SBM) .

• Familiarity with Agile and Iterative SDLCs , QA best practices, and version control systems.
