Preston Farm and Winery is looking to add another dynamic member to our Hospitality Team! We are a family owned, organic farm and winery located in the heart of Healdsburg’s Dry Creek Valley. We are looking for an enthusiastic Tasting Room Associate with a love for hospitality and customer service that can fluctuate between 3 to 4 days a week to fill a seasonal part time position (must be able to commit to weekends).

The ideal candidate must be friendly, outgoing and self motivated, comfortable multi-tasking, and be able to captivate our customers with the Preston family’s long tenure of stewardship and history in Dry Creek Valley. Prior hospitality service experience is required, and tasting room experience is preferred. Candidates must be comfortable standing for up to 8 hours in a fast paced environment and must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Basic wine knowledge preferred, with interest and passion to learn more. Must be 21 or older.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Opens and closes the Tasting Room.
Provide top tier customer service to all Preston Farm and Winery guests and customers with enthusiasm and poise.
Conduct private tasting experiences educating customers on the history of Preston, the love and pride in our farming practices, and our winemaking techniques.
Acquire a thorough knowledge of the Preston wine portfolio and be able to describe wines with confidence and excitement.
Promote wine sales in the tasting room and encourage new members for the Preston Farm and Winery Wine Club through your passion and knowledge of all things Preston.
Maintain cleanliness, tidiness, and sanitization of the Tasting Room at all times, as well as the kitchen and picnic area.
Other duties as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:
Passion for wine and a love for the land.
Basic computer skills and literacy.
Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with customers and coworkers, both front facing and via phone/email.
Self-starter with a positive attitude that works well in a team driven environment.
Attention to detail and tidiness, and the ability to multitask.
Commitment to customer service and hospitality, resulting in sales and future memberships and relationships!
1-3 years experience in a retail, food, beverage, and/or hospitality industry.
Must be comfortable standing for up to 8 hours, and walking to host tastings on farm terrain. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs. Must be at least 21 years of age.
Holders of Responsible Beverage Service License, Food Handler’s Certificate, and/or Sexual Harassment Training Certificates are a PLUS!

Salary:
We offer a competitive hourly wage as well as monthly sales commission incentives, Wine Club commissions, and gratuity!!
