Job Summary The Load Make-Up worker is responsible for preparing carts for shipment to customer locations. Load Make-Up staff work as a team, with each member taking roles such as manually packing carts, ensuring all orders are filled, and loading carts onto delivery trucks.
Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities This position will involve working within a team of people performing similar duties. Along with one or more team members, and Century Load Make-Up worker may perform some or all the following duties during a given shift:
- Check packing orders.
- Line carts with plastic
- Retrieve cleaned/dried linens which have been bundled and load them into carts.
- Weigh carts and enter weight into a computer.
- Load carts onto delivery truck using a lift.
Supervisory Responsibilities N/A
Minimum Qualifications - Reading and writing comprehension, computer and math skills are typically associated with a high school level education.
- Quality orientation and high attention to detail
- Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations.
- Strong teamwork skills- ready and willing to work closely with team members.
- Open to and able to work day or night shifts, and willing to rotate shifts depending on production need
- Open to long hours and working weekends (Sat/Sun)
- Physical Demands consist of standing, walking, reaching overhead, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, grasping, lifting 50 lbs. or more and stooping.
- Physical Demands consist of the ability to move rolling carts of varying weights – up to and exceeding approximately 250lbs.
- Physical Requirements consist of being able to meet the physical demands for the entire shift.
Preferred Qualifications - High School Diploma
- Prior experience working in a plant environment.
- Prior experience working for Century.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Physical Requirements - Physical Requirements consist of being able to meet the physical demands for the entire shift.
- The position requires constant standing, bending, stooping, walking and the ability to lift and handle material with weights up to 50 lbs. or more.
- Constant pushing/pulling of laundry carts with weights of 250 lbs. is common with some cart weights exceeding 600 lbs.
Work Environment Production areas of a typical industrial laundry facility, which includes working with and around large machinery, variations in temperature, noise, odors, humidity, lint, dust, chemicals, and other hazards.
