Title: Sr. Software Test Automation Engineer
Duration: 6 Months
Location: Onsite at Alameda, CA, Milpitas, CA, Portland, CA

Hours: 9 to 5 PM PST

If Portland, CA, there would be possibilities of occasional travel

Description:

Looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with strong development and automation testing experience to join the testing department, responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts for mobile applications (Android and iOS). The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience writing, executing, and maintaining automated test code, along with a solid foundation in software development practices. This role requires candidates who are comfortable working like a developer, designing test frameworks, writing clean and efficient code, and validating complex systems through automation.

Qualification:

• We are seeking a skilled professional with 5+ years of experience in mobile application testing, ideally within a highly regulated industry such as Medical Devices, delivering Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) solutions.
• The ideal candidate will have strong coding abilities, preferably in Python and Java, and a solid understanding of Android and iOS architectures.
• Key skills include Python, Appium, and mobile app testing, with hands-on experience using real devices, emulators, and cloud device farms like BrowserStack or AWS Device Farm.
• A BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Daily responsibilities involve creating and executing both manual and automated test scripts for SaMD mobile applications, managing tasks via Jira, and collaborating with Test, Development, Product, and Delivery teams.
• Familiarity with IBM ETM is a plus. Performance will be measured monthly or quarterly based on the creation, maintenance, and execution of test scripts.
• The role operates within a distributed global team in a fast-paced environment, with a two-step interview process starting via video conference, and potentially followed by an in-person meeting.
• Automating testing experience with automated testing skills is a requirement for this role.
• Looking for automated testers to help execute test cases.
• Primarily is coding and going to meetings to support the coding from execution to reporting, testing exp in mobile experience, selenium-based, Python-based.
• Automated testing experience ofa mobile application Python-based Selenium.
• Experience in both Android and IOS.
• Working on Mobile apps with cloud integration and React native is great.
• This is an automated testing role, the primary drive is to turn all test cases into automated test cases.,
• Technical knowledge or experience of programming language, especially Python, with some Android and iOS testing exp.
• Cloud, AWS, understanding and exp.
• The candidate should know Appium
• Training will also be provided
• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for web and/or backend applications.
• Write, review, and maintain high-quality test code using Java, Python, or C#.
• Develop and enhance test automation frameworks and reusable test components.
• Execute coding tasks as part of the interview and on-the-job responsibilities.
