Job Description

Compensation: $ 20.00- $ 24.00 + $2/hour for each additional child

Are you passionate about working with children and want to make a meaningful difference? We’re hiring caring and dependable individuals for part-time positions on our  respite care team! Support neurodivergent children and teens, including those with autism, Down syndrome, and cerebral palsy, while gaining experience and bringing joy to local families. Have you worked as a babysitter, daycare worker, nanny, or church nursery volunteer? Maybe you're known as the family’s favorite Auntie? If this sounds like you, we’d love to welcome you to our babysitter team! Most assignments are Monday through Friday. Several part-time positions are available now in your area, ranging from 15–20+ hours per week. If you’re engaging, communicative, and friendly, this could be your perfect opportunity.

About you:

• You genuinely enjoy working with children and are an engaging, creative, child-focused individual who loves play, arts & crafts, reading, and supporting learning through fun
• You have experience with special needs in any capacity (a huge plus!)
• You bring childcare or nanny experience—references may come from paid or unpaid work
• You’re open to working with multiple families in various home environments
• You have reliable and insured transportation to travel across San Diego County
• You have a cell phone with data to manage schedules and job info via app
• You’re available for part-time or full-time shifts between 12:00pm–9:00pm
• You’re comfortable with example sitter shifts such as:
• 12:00pm–6:00pm
• 2:30pm–6:30pm
• 12:30pm–8:30pm

• The work environment will be active, kid-centric, and include clean-up of activities
• Part of each day may be spent outside, weather permitting, and will be active play
• Essential Physical Requirements:
• Position involves regular lifting, bending, squatting, reaching, and pushing
• Must be able to lift 35 pounds safely
• Must be able to get up from and down to the floor numerous times throughout the day
• Will need to be able to react quickly to certain situations
• May need to react to emergent situations in a calm, effective and safe manner
