American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter – Full Time | Lakewood, WA | 2025–2026 School Year  

Ampersand Therapy is hiring a full-time  ASL Interpreter for the 2025–2026 school year in  Lakewood, Washington . This is an in-person position working with a great and supportive school district. Job Highlights:

• Location: Lakewood, WA
• Position: ASL Interpreter – 1:1 position with 12th grade student
• Schedule: Full Time, Monday through Friday (late start Wednesdays)
• School Year: 2025-2026
• In-person only

Qualifications:

• EIPA score of 4.0 or higher and passing the  written performance test
• EIPA scores of 3.5–3.9may also be considered
• Fingerprinting required prior to start
• School-based experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct 1:1 interpretation for a student throughout the school day
• Facilitate communication between the student, peers, and staff
• Support access to curriculum and social interactions in the classroom
• Collaborate with the student’s educational team
