Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery
Location: Syracuse, NY
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift | 3x12 Hours
Weekly Gross Pay: Approx. $3,000/week

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract assignment in Syracuse, NY. The RN will provide comprehensive care to women during pregnancy, labor, delivery, and post-partum while ensuring the health and safety of both mother and baby.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and monitoring for women throughout labor, delivery, and recovery.
• Monitor vital signs and fetal heart tones, administer medications, and provide pain management.
• Assist with both vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
• Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
• Float between labor & delivery, post-partum, and nursery units as needed.
• Prepare operating room and assist in C-sections (circulating and scrubbing required).
• Deliver compassionate and professional care in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Requirements

• Current and valid New York RN license.
• BLS certification (must be current or eligible for renewal).
• Minimum 1.5 years of recent experience (within the past 2 years) in labor & delivery, post-partum, and nursery in a similar acute care setting.
• Experience circulating and scrubbing for cesarean sections required.
• Strong clinical, communication, and patient-support skills.
