Allegria Nursing & Rehabilitation Center of Port Jefferson is a compassionate and dedicated skilled nursing facility committed to providing high-quality care for our residents. We foster a supportive environment where staff are valued, and residents are treated with respect and dignity. 

We are seeking a friendly, professional, and dependable Weekend Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our facility on Saturdays and Sundays. The ideal candidate is customer service-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Please Note, this is a 1099 contractor position-not a direct employee

Responsibilities:

• Monitors and ensures the safety of the lobby area
• Ensures that no resident leaves the building unattended
• Stays with residents until alternate staff relief arrives
• Makes copies as assigned
• Ensures that visitors sign in
• Works with a minimum of supervision. Must function independently, have flexibility. personal integrity and the ability to work effectively with residents, co-works, support agencies and outside agencies
• Must treat all residents and co-workers with dignity and respect.
• Must be able to relate to and work with the ill, disabled, elderly and emotionally upset residents.
• Demonstrates awareness of safety issues and maintains a safe environment throughout the facility

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Entry Level (0-2 years)
• Prior receptionist or customer service experience preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient with basic computer systems (email, Microsoft Office, etc.)
• Ability to remain calm and courteous in a fast-paced environment
• Must be dependable and punctual
• High School Diploma/GED
