Position Title: QA Tester
Employee Status: Short Term Contract
Location: Omaha NE., On-Site
Purpose:
Our Client is seeking an experienced, on-site Mid to Senior-Level Quality Assurance (QA) Consultant with deep expertise in ETL testing to support a critical, upcoming project. This is a high-impact, 6-8 month contract role focused on validating our entire data pipeline and ensuring data integrity end-to-end. As a key member of the QA team, you will be responsible for validating the entire data pipeline lifecycle. Your primary focus will be on quality, performance, and automation.
Responsibilities:
End-to-End Data Validation: Validate the complete data pipeline, ensuring data moves, transforms, and loads correctly according to defined business rules and technical design specifications.
ETL Testing & Data Integrity: Execute hands-on ETL testing and robust data validation, ensuring consistency and accuracy across the data movement process.
SQL-Driven Automation: Drive test automation efforts from a high level, utilizing your strong SQL skills to write efficient and complex queries for data validation and testing.
Performance Testing: Conduct performance testing to ensure all ETL loads and data processing are completed within expected timeframes and meet non-functional requirements.
Test Management: Own the full testing lifecycle, including test planning, test case execution, and detailed defect tracking.
Required Skills & Experience
Level: Mid to Senior-level professional experience in Quality Assurance and software testing.
ETL Expertise: Proven, hands-on experience in ETL testing and end-to-end data validation.
SQL Mastery: Must have strong SQL skills for advanced querying, data comparison, and test automation.
Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to integrate seamlessly with the existing team.
Technical Tools: Experience with standard test planning, execution, and defect tracking tools.
Preferred (Bonus) Skills
Experience with QuerySurge or similar tools used for automated ETL/data warehouse testing.
Work Location: This is an on-site, full-time position in Omaha, NE. Remote work is not available.
