Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to lead high-end landscape construction projects from inception to completion. In this role, you will oversee every aspect of landscape construction, ensuring projects are executed to the highest standards of quality, delivered on time, and within budget. This position offers the opportunity to work on prestigious residential and commercial properties, blending creativity with operational expertise to deliver stunning outdoor environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Oversight: Take full responsibility for landscape construction projects, including planning, scheduling, and managing materials, labor, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project flow.

  • Client Interaction: Establish and maintain open communication with clients, providing updates on project progress, addressing concerns, and ensuring their vision is realized.

  • Quality and Profitability: Ensure projects meet or exceed client expectations in terms of beauty, functionality, and quality. Track project costs closely to maintain profitability.

  • Team Leadership: Lead field teams to execute construction work efficiently and safely. Train and mentor crew members to ensure best practices are followed, and the highest quality of work is achieved.

  • Problem-Solving and Risk Management: Identify and address any site challenges early, preventing potential issues and ensuring projects stay on track.

  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with local regulations and safety standards. Conduct regular site inspections to maintain safe and organized work environments.

  • Subcontractor Management: Coordinate with and oversee subcontractors to ensure timelines and standards are met.

  • Reporting: Provide regular, accurate reports on project status, including timelines, costs, and any adjustments made to the plan.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years of project management experience in landscape construction, managing high-end projects for residential or commercial properties.

  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of landscape construction, including grading, drainage, plant installation, masonry, carpentry, lighting, irrigation, and hardscapes.

  • Financial Acumen: Proven experience in managing project budgets, forecasting, and ensuring profitability. Ability to manage change orders, cost controls, and financial reporting.

  • Client-Focused: Excellent communication skills with a client-first mindset. Experience working directly with clients to ensure their expectations are exceeded.

  • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead, mentor, and motivate teams, creating a high-performance culture that prioritizes safety, quality, and efficiency.

  • Problem-Solving: Strong critical thinking skills to troubleshoot issues on-site and keep projects moving forward without delays.

  • Education: A degree in Landscape Construction or a related field is preferred, but equivalent experience is considered. Relevant certifications (such as ISA or Landscape Industry Certified) are a plus.
