Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Oracle EBS DBA Consultant to lead the planning and strategy for a major upgrade from Oracle EBS 12.1 to 12.2.
This consultant will own the technical assessment, planning, and coordination for the upgrade, working closely with stakeholders, developers, and external vendors to ensure a smooth transition with minimal business disruption.
Responsibilities Include:
Lead the full upgrade strategy and roadmap from EBS 12.1 to 12.2
Conduct pre-upgrade assessments and impact analysis (including basis2 billing system)
Plan cloning, patching, and configuration of Oracle EBS 12.2, WebLogic, and Fusion Middleware
Collaborate with vendor teams to ensure code compatibility and retrofitting
Define test, backup, recovery, and cutover plans
Post-upgrade validation, optimization, and knowledge transfer
Required Technical Skills:
10+ years of experience as an Oracle EBS DBA, ideally with recent 12.2 upgrade exposure
Strong knowledge of Oracle DB (11g, 12c, 19c), RMAN, AD utilities, rapid clone, ADOP, WebLogic
Experience with Windows Server OS, scripting, and automation
Proven ability to clone EBS environments and perform impact assessment of customizations
Preferred:
Strong performance tuning and optimization expertise
Oracle DBA or EBS certification a plus
Ability to translate technical concepts to business stakeholders clearly
Note:
MUST be local to Philadelphia and available to start immediately
