As a Locum NP/PA in Emergency Medicine, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care in urgent situations. You will work alongside experienced medical professionals to assess, diagnose, and treat patients with a wide range of medical conditions. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical assessments and treatment plans for patients in emergency situations
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
- Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results to inform treatment decisions
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Document patient interactions accurately and promptly in the electronic health record
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and preventive care measures
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs
- Stay current with best practices and emerging trends in emergency medicine
Requirements
- Associate degree or higher in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies
- Current NP or PA certification and state licensure to practice
- Experience in emergency medicine or urgent care settings
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to providing compassionate patient care
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
Schedule: 12-hour shifts
Annual Volume: 13k patients
Facility: 29 hospital beds, 10 ED beds
Support Staff: 24-hour physician coverage
Board certification required
Paid travel & lodging
