HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:

The Janitor is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards throughout the facility. This role supports daily operations by ensuring that production areas, common spaces, and equipment surfaces are kept free of debris, spills, and hazards. The janitor will work closely with operations staff to maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

• Perform routine cleaning of production floors, restrooms, break areas, and offices.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and scrub surfaces to maintain a safe and sanitary environment.
• Handle industrial waste, recyclables, and hazardous materials in compliance with safety protocols.
• Operate industrial cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, and pressure washers.
• Refill supplies including paper products, soap, and sanitizers.
• Report maintenance needs, safety concerns, or equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
• Support facility shutdown cleanings, deep cleans, and special projects as assigned.
• Follow all OSHA, company safety policies, and PPE requirements.

WHAT THIS ROLE NEEDS:

• Strong understanding of safety and handling of cleaning chemicals.
• Reliability, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in industrial or commercial cleaning is a plus.
• Ability to operate and maintain janitorial equipment.

PHYSICAL & MENTAL ENVIRONMENT:

• Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting (up to 50 lbs.), standing, bending, and working in varied environments.
