Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an Industrial Designer to support an enterprise design team. The position will be hybrid on site in Basking Ridge, NJ and New York City. The team focuses on several different product portfolios for telecommunication devices and technology and smart device technology. This candidate will be responsible for delivering work for a Home Products Portfolio. He or she will support the team in all project initiatives, concepting, rendering and sketching work, and end to end industrial design delivery. Candidates should come from a consumer product design background and have prior hands on industrial design experience in enterprise environments.
Candidates will be allocated to a project that they would lead with the support of a principle designer and design team. They should be able to take a reference design and bring it through production. Being able to understand how to work within a design system, technical and non technical design language and working with stakeholders both internal and external will be important. A large part of this role will be brainstorming and concepting industrial designs and pushing them through production. There will be a key factor in documenting design processes, building decks to present on industrial design work, execute on physical and consumer electronic designs, as well as adapt to changes as requested in a fast-paced environment.

Skills and Requirements
4+ years of experience in Industrial Design for consumer electronic productsUnderstanding of new technologies and consumer experiences
Hands on with rendering and sketching
Hands on with products that have physical consumer interaction
Experienced with tools such as - Arduino or CAD/SolidWorks, KeyShot, Rhino
Comfortable with communication to internal and external stakeholders - working with manufacturers
Understanding of core design tools- Figma, Adobe Creative Suite
Advanced with design thinking, design strategy and design problem solving
Knowledge of working within a Design System
Soft skills -- ability to see the problem and find solutions, urgent, self-starter, can work independently HCI - human computer interaction or HMI - human machine interaction
Google Suite experience
Ability to translate complex technical requirements into consumer experiences
Innovation Experience
