We're seeking an  Excavator Operator with gravity sewer experience in Spring Hill, FL!    The Excavator Operator uses heavy equipment to install underground utilities to depths of greater than 20 feet.

We are currently offering a  limited-time sign-on bonus of $4,000 for new hires with a valid CDL license , and sign-on bonuses for new hires without a current CDL license are also available at a reduced amount. New employees who meet the criteria outlined in our sign-on bonus program will be eligible for the full payout.

The starting pay is $22.00-$30.00 per hour depending on experience. We offer 100% paid on-the-job training!

What You'll Do:

• Perform thorough check-ups and safety sweeps of equipment, notifying the supervisor of any equipment concerns.
• Become a pro at setting up different trench shoring systems, adding your touch of expertise to every project.
• Determine the best way to tackle each project, whether it’s handling sewer systems, storm drains, water mains, or force mains (excavation may include high water environments).
• Follow the lead of your Foreman and Superintendent, using your assigned equipment to tackle tasks efficiently.
• Keep the lines of communication open and clear with your crew and supervisors.
• Operate excavator equipment while prioritizing safety and effectiveness.
• Keep an eye on every step of the operation to maintain our high standards of quality and safety.
• Be ready for anything else that comes your way - versatility is key in our dynamic environment.

What We Need from You:

• Valid driver’s license required with a clean motor vehicle report
• Must possess a Class A or B CDL and be aligned with Insituform’s motor vehicle standards (Hazmat endorsement is preferred but not required)
• Proven experience as a Heavy Machine Operator in the utility construction and gravity sewer industry.
• Able to operate an excavator/track hoe.
• Proficiency in pipe installation techniques, including bedding and backfilling.
• Knowledge of construction plans, blueprints, and underground utility installation procedures.
• Comfortable working in varying weather conditions and at different job sites as required.
• Able to travel within the state of Florida when needed (Lodging & per diem provided).
