In this role, you will:

The Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) delivers a comprehensive suite of banking, capital markets and advisory solutions, including a full complement of sales, trading and research capabilities, to corporate, government and institutional clients. We focus on our clients' overall financial needs, with consideration and respect for their total relationship with Wells Fargo.

Primary responsibilities include both managing and conducting the fundamental equity research process for the purpose of providing differentiated industry and stock-specific content, including building and maintaining financial forecasts and stock recommendations for our institutional investor client base. Critical to the role will be communicating research findings to both internal stakeholders and our institutional investor client base via consistent dialogue. The Senior Analyst will build strong relationships not only with Equity Research colleagues, but also with Equity Sales, Cash Trading, Derivatives, Wealth Management, and others. 

The Senior Analyst will:

  • Demonstrate subject matter expertise within the Aerospace & Defense sector and a deep understanding and familiarity of the companies within the sector
  • Conduct rigorous analysis of financial statements and industry, company, and market data sets
  • Create and update financial models and databases
  • Author differentiated research content on companies and industry themes
  • Utilize deep industry and corporate relationships to ensure access to industry thought leaders  
  • Attend company and industry events; cultivate relationships with covered companies and industry contacts
  • Communicate research conclusions to internal and external constituents
  • Exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of Securities Research experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of management or leadership experience


Desired Qualifications:

  • BS/BA or higher
  • An active Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation
  • Direct sell-side experience covering Aerospace & Defense stocks
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
  • Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including high level of proficiency in modeling
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills
  • Strong writing skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge and understanding of financial statement analysis
  • Knowledge and understanding of accounting principles in the capital markets industry
  • Knowledge and understanding of investment tools such as Bloomberg or FactSet application
  • Strong, clear and concise written and oral communication skills

  • Registration for FINRA SIE must be completed within 180 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
  • Registration for FINRA Series 63 (or 66) must be completed within 180 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
  • Registration for FINRA Series 86 must be completed within 180 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
  • Registration for FINRA Series 87 must be completed within 180 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
  • This position is subject to FINRA Background Screening Requirements, including successful completion and clearing of a background check. Internal transfers are subject to compliance with 17 CFR 240.17f-2 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and FINRA Bylaws, Article III, Section 3, which states that Associated Persons should not be subject to statutory disqualification Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and are required to report certain incidents.

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$290,000.00 - $500,000.00
