Equipment Operator/CDL Driver Job Description: The Henry Hudson Company has an immediate opening for an experienced equipment operator/CDL driver. We are seeking a dependable Class A truck driver who has a clean driving record for pick-up of materials and equipment as well as delivery of finished products. This position is responsible for operating a variety of heavy and light equipment as well.
Responsibilities of an Equipment Operator/CDL Driver:
● Safely operate trucks and equipment commonly associated with demolition and grading
● Drive trucks with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) over 26,000lbs
● Pull a towed weight exceeding 100,000lbs
● Maintain and service vehicle as needed
● Transport deliveries to assigned destination
● Pick up loads and ensure contents are properly secured for transport
● Possess a working knowledge of equipment maintenance and repair
Equipment Operator/CDL Driver Job Requirements:
● High school degree or equivalent
● Valid Class A driver’s license required
● 2+ years’ experience with tractor-trailer driving/equipment operating preferred
● Clean driving record
● Comfortable maneuvering and parking tractor-trailers
● Alert, dependable, and resourceful
● Physically and mentally fit
● Ability to lift 50lbs
● Proficient using GPS and other routing systems
