Job Description

About the Role

Dart Container is seeking a proactive and experienced  EHS Manager II to lead and continuously improve our safety and environmental programs at a large, complex manufacturing facility. This role is fully onsite and will support a 24/7 operation, requiring availability for overnight and weekend emergencies.

You’ll work closely with a dedicated team of EHS Specialists and cross-functional leaders to drive engagement, ensure compliance, and foster a culture of safety from the front line to leadership.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and evolve safety and environmental programs across multiple departments and locations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and increase employee engagement in safety practices.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to manage audits, inspections, and training programs.
  • Support emergency response readiness and incident investigations.
  • Partner with operations to align EHS goals with production, quality, and efficiency KPIs.

What We’re Looking For

Must-Haves:

  • Proven experience managing EHS programs in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience overseeing multiple departments or locations.
  • Strong adaptability and change management skills.
  • Ability to build trust and influence across all levels of the organization.

Preferred:

  • Experience with ISN Network, MSDSonline, L2L, or similar systems.
  • First responder certification.
  • Background in thermoforming or packaging industries.
  • Alumni of Millersburg University (a plus, not required).
