Esse Dermatology is a boutique medical and cosmetic dermatology practice in Charlotte, NC, led by board-certified dermatologist Dr. Ada Ogunsiakan. We offer high-quality, patient-centered care with a strong focus on medical dermatology, cosmetic procedures, and regenerative treatments. We are growing and looking for a skilled Physician Assistant who shares our commitment to excellence, compassion, and innovation.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Dermatology Physician Assistant to join our practice. The ideal candidate will be confident in medical dermatology, comfortable with procedures, and eager to learn cosmetic techniques. This role involves independent patient care, procedural support, and strong patient communication within a supportive, high-touch environment.

Responsibilities

Medical Dermatology

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and dermatologic examinations
• Diagnose and manage acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, infections, and various alopecias
• Perform/assist with: Shave and punch biopsies, Intralesional injections, Cryotherapy and benign lesion destruction, and more

Cosmetic & Aesthetic Dermatology

Assist with or perform (if trained):

• Neurotoxins
• Laser/energy treatments (Aerolase NeoDerm, fractional CO2, etc.)
• Chemical peels (including VI Peel)
• Microneedling, PRP/PRF
• Other cosmetic procedures

Clinic Workflow & Documentation

• Document visits accurately in ModMed/EMA
• Provide patient education and clear communication via Klara
• Support intake, follow-up coordination, and results management
• Uphold HIPAA compliance and dermatology-appropriate coding standards

Qualifications

• Valid NC Physician Assistant License + NCCPA certification
• Dermatology experience preferred (medical and/or cosmetic)
• Proficient in minor dermatologic procedures
• Strong interpersonal skills and patient-centered mindset
• Experience with EMA/ModMed is a plus
