Construction Project Manager

Job Summary:
The Construction Project Manager will assist the client in overseeing the construction program management of locally funded park development projects, including aquatic facilities, playgrounds, hard courts, splash pads, and building projects. This role involves providing technical assistance in design, construction specification and plan interpretation, construction scheduling, budget planning, construction materials, and general construction engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with managing construction programs for park development, aquatic facilities, playgrounds, hard courts, splash pads, and building projects.
Provide technical assistance in design, construction specification and plan interpretation, construction scheduling, budget planning, construction materials, and general construction engineering.
Inspect construction methods and workmanship to ensure contractors build projects in accordance with plans and specifications.
Investigate and create design solution alternatives, estimate their cost, and recommend a preferred alternative.
Ensure all construction management activities are performed on schedule, within budgetary limits, and in accordance with current state and local statutes, ordinances, specifications, and contract requirements.
Maintain confidentiality at all times.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Job Requirements and Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum of eight (8+) years of related work experience
Extensive knowledge of Federal, State, and City codes, policies, ordinances, and building industry standard specifications
Expertise in design, construction, facility, and grounds operations (civil, earthwork, site paving, concrete, landscaping, recreational facilities, building construction)
Working knowledge of mechanical building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, aquatic, structural, interior finishes)
Proficiency in civil, landscape, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering terminology and fundamentals
Ability to interpret specifications and construction documents
Competence in performing calculations (material and labor estimates, expenses, technical survey data, engineering calculations using algebra, trigonometry, and geometry)
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong conflict resolution skills
Preferred Job Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture, Construction Management, Building & Grounds Operations, Engineering, or a Technical Degree/Certification
Extensive knowledge of Federal, State, and City codes, policies, ordinances, and building industry standard specifications
Expertise in design, construction, facility, and grounds operations (civil, earthwork, site paving, concrete, landscaping, recreational facilities, building construction)

Working Conditions
Essential functions are regularly performed in an office setting without exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $80,595.39 - $97,061.12 per year
