Job Description

The position will primarily be responsible for the completion of preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance work on building support equipment at the Farmington Hills and Plymouth facilities, including HVAC equipment. The position will also be responsible for completing general maintenance requests for building and equipment repairs, including potential pipe fitting work.

This position must be familiar with preventive maintenance programs and practices for commercial building equipment including:

• HVAC equipment and systems – Air Handling Units, split-system AC units, centrifugal chillers, heat pumps, exhaust fans, pumps, cooling towers, and low-pressure boilers
• Compressed Air equipment and systems – air compressors and air dryers

Qualifications

The following

qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in Commercial Building Equipment maintenance
• EPA 608 Certification (Universal is preferred)
• General knowledge of pipe fitting – particularly with copper and PVC
• Previous forklift operation certification
• Previous aerial work platform operation certification
• Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) program familiarity

The following

qualifications

• Building Management System operation experience
• EPA 608 Certification (Universal is preferred)
• Previous forklift operation certification
• Variable Frequency Drive troubleshooting and programming experience
• Experience repairing mechanical equipment – i.e. Air Handling Equipment
• Experience working in teams
• State of Michigan Mechanical Contractor License
• Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) experience
