We're seeking a highly organized, experienced Bilingual Criminal Defense Paralegal who thrives under pressure and takes initiative. Responsibilities: • Draft and file legal documents, including letters of representation, motions, subpoenas, writs, expunctions, and more • Assist attorneys in preparing cases for hearings, plea negotiations, and trials • Track deadlines, court dates, and case progress across local, state, and federal courts • Communicate with clients, prosecutors, courts, and law enforcement in both English and Spanish • Translate legal documents and facilitate attorney-client communication when language barriers exist • Maintain organized digital case files and input data into case management software • Coordinate with expert witnesses, investigators, and outside vendors when necessary Qualifications: • Candidates should possess high-level organizational skills, and time-management skills • Fluency in Spanish and English (verbal and written) – Required • 3+ years of experience as a paralegal or legal assistant, preferably in criminal law • Strong working knowledge of Texas criminal court procedures and e-filing systems • Excellent writing, organizational, and time management skills • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters with discretion • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently • Familiarity with legal software (e.g., Clio, MyCase, or similar) About Company: At RKT, we thrive on collaboration, integrity, and a shared passion for justice, creating a purpose-driven environment where our work truly matters.
