Job Description

Who you are : The Hairstylist in every community is passionate about serving residents in a safe and clean manner. Part of a team-oriented environment that provides quality beauty services while upholding Koelsch community values. You will service 60+ instant clients in this space. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide Community with proof of current Workers’ Compensation Insurance coverage unless Beautician has no employees and is personally exempt from such insurance coverage requirements.
  • Maintain current beautician’s professional and premises liability insurance and provide Community with evidence of such coverage.
  • Maintain the Beauty Salon in a clean and safe condition at all times.
  • Order and pay for all necessary supplies in the operation of the Beauty Salon, unless otherwise arranged through the Community Executive Director.
  • Provide Community with a schedule of rates, which Community must approve prior to use.
  • Operate the beauty Salon on a regularly scheduled basis, and in a manner acceptable to the Community Executive Director and the residents, acknowledging the Beauty Salon is operated primarily for the convenience of and availability to the residents of Community.
  • Act at all times in a manner that is supportive of the Community and its management.
  • Maintain a current shop or salon license and a current beautician’s license.

 

Requirements:

  • Must be in good physical and mental health
  • Must have valid cosmetology or barber's license in residing state 
  • Must have experience working with senior populations
  • Must be Drug free and submit to Urinary Analysis Drug screening upon hire and routinely.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check upon hire and as required by state regulations.
  • The employee shall be responsible for maintaining the integrity of Koelsch Communities.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.

Must possess qualities of leadership, tact, and adaptability to change. Must be neat in appearance, possess a pleasant personality, be congenial with fellow employees and public, and must be capable of following oral and written instruction. Must display and use own good judgement and initiative in daily duties.
