Job Summary:We are seeking a motivated AWS Cloud Platform Engineer (Entry-Level) to join our growing cloud infrastructure team. This role is ideal for candidates passionate about cloud technologies, automation, and security who are looking to build a career in cloud engineering. The position involves assisting in designing, deploying, and maintaining secure, scalable, and cost-efficient infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS) while following organizational standards for compliance and performance.
As a Junior AWS Cloud Engineer, you will work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to support cloud operations, automation, and monitoring in a collaborative and learning-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities: Cloud Infrastructure Support:
Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of AWS-based infrastructure to support enterprise applications and services.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
Support the use of tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform to create and manage reusable infrastructure templates and automate provisioning workflows.
Cloud Governance and Security:
Implement basic IAM roles, security groups, and guardrails under supervision to maintain secure cloud environments aligned with best practices.
Monitoring & Logging:
Help configure and manage observability tools like Amazon CloudWatch , AWS CloudTrail , or OpenSearch to collect and analyze system metrics and logs.
Automation & CI/CD:
Contribute to setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as AWS CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins to enable automated deployments.
Cost and Resource Management:
Assist with tagging, budgeting, and usage tracking for efficient cloud cost management.
Incident Response & Troubleshooting:
Participate in troubleshooting cloud-related issues, analyzing root causes, and improving system reliability.
Compliance & Security Support:
Work with senior engineers to apply DoD STIGs, security baselines, and vulnerability scanning processes to meet compliance standards.
Collaboration:
Work cross-functionally with application, DevOps, and security teams to deliver reliable and compliant cloud solutions.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering , or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
0 to 3 years of relevant work or internship experience in cloud computing or IT infrastructure.
Foundational understanding of Amazon Web Services (AWS) components (e.g., EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch).
Basic knowledge of networking , Linux/Windows administration , and scripting languages (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
Understanding of CI/CD , source control (Git), and basic automation practices.
Strong interest in cloud security , compliance, and cost optimization.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
