Job Description

Personnel Plus, Inc. is NOW HIRING an Access Van Driver!

  • IMMEDIATE OPENING!
  • Working hours are currently Monday- Friday, as early as 6 am- and end as late as 7:30 pm
  • $17.65 per hour to start
  • 40 hours per week with occasional overtime as needed
  • Excellent opportunity to get into a transportation career

 

Duties:

  • Safely transport individuals to various destinations using a specially equipped van
  • Provide passenger support to enter and exit the van
  • Securely load and unload passengers using a wheelchair lift or other accessibility features
  • Assist riders with securing wheelchairs and other personal belongings within the van
  • Ensure the safety and comfort of all riders
  • Communicate clearly with passengers regarding their transportation needs
  • Keep all client and passenger interactions professional
  • Respect passenger privacy and dignity
  • Operate the access van per all state traffic laws and safety regulations
  • Maintain awareness of road conditions and potential hazards
  • Follow designated routes and schedules
  • Perform pre and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Immediately report any mechanical or safety concerns
  • Maintain accurate trip logs and passenger information
  • Accurately complete all required paperwork
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Requirements :

  • A valid Idaho Driver’s License with a clean driving record
  • At least 21 years of age for insurance reasons
  • A patient and compassionate demeanor
  • Ability to interact with individuals with varying abilities with respect and understanding
  • A commitment to safety
  • Ability to safely lift and move up to 35 lbs.
  • Able to pass a background check
  • Be drug-free
